The location is perfect. This place is right across from the beach. You can walk to it from the sand. The food is good, the prices are right and they have outdoor seating for people watching.
Carlos Mexican Restaurant is one of the best kept secrets in Dana Point, California. Phenomenal chips and salsa! The guacamole isn't too shabby either. Add a huge iced tea and you have the perfect meal.
Could be considered good Mexican food in another part of the country, but not in Orange County. The food here is decent, but they put cabbage in EVERYTHING and growing up in Southern California, I have come to expect better.
